Akshita singh filed complaint against Swiggy on Dec 28, 2017
Last night i ordered from this new Maharashtrian restaurant for the very first time through Swiggy. My order was delivered around *:** pm which consisted of Surmai Fish Fry. Usually a portion of fish appetizer consists of two or three pieces of fish. But my dish consisted of squashed fish along with plastic and paper (images attached). I immediately reached out to the restaurant asking that if this particular item on the menu is delivered in the way i got it. The restaurant clarified that this is not how i was supposed to get the dish and that there is a probability that the swiggy delivery boy dropped the dish on his way. I simultaneously logged a complaint to swiggy and my money was refunded. Till all of this happened the restaurant manager reached out to swiggys fleet manager Swapnil Bhagat to come to the hotel and check on this issue. It’s at ** am * hours post my original order that I get a call from swiggys manager Swapnil ( till then I’m unaware of the food eaten) accepting that it’s the fault of the delivery service for providing such kind of life threatening food And I shouldn’t be blaming the restaurant. He accepted that the delivery boy was drunk and he ruined the order.
I have multiple questions regarding this issue to which Swiggy has still not been able to respond to after multiple back and forth mails and calls.
*. Why was there a drunk man sent at my doorstep at *:** -** pm in the night. specially since a customer had complained about him just the previous day.
*. I have no idea about the standard or the quality of the food being delivered to me at my doorstep. I’m completely unaware if the food was dropped on its way or what else happened with it. The fact that I’m unsure about the quality and hygiene observed while delivering my food is quite repulsive.
*. How can i be assured of the fact that the delivery boy is aware that the food he is delivering has to be delivered following certain hygiene. How can one trust such delivery services who don’t even know the kind of food their (DRUNK) delivery boys are sending to customers.
*. Apparently there was a similar complaint against the same delivery boy Ravi Manje Gauda * day before. Why dint swiggy take an action against him instantly and why was he still on duty the next day.
*. Does swiggy not have any kind of protocol or rules and policies to check what condition are their employees in before they head for delivery. Either they don’t have protocols or are completely oblivious about the same in either case it’s completely an alarming situation.
I’m still awaiting swiggys response and highly recommend people to ban such services
