PINAR AKINCI filed complaint against Clear Trip on Jan 30, 2018
I booked a room for * nights between *TH to **TH Feb through ClearTrip website and paid *.***,** AED by credit card. Unfortunately, I had to change the dates of my trip because of my work schedule and instead of * nights, I will be able to stay only * nights. Therefore I cancelled my reservation on Cleartrip website to book only for * nights but then received an email contains refund information. As per the information, I was charged almost the total amount of the booking which is *.***,** AED. There was no information about the amount would be charged during the cancellation process on the website. If there was an information, I would have contacted with Cleartrip or Hotel to update my reservation as * nights and wouldn’t have faced with this problem. I can understand to be charged some service fees in case of cancellation but the amount deducted from my account is more than a service fee or fine.
I called call center of the website many times to get support for this issue and at the same time contacted with the hotel. The hotel sent me an email saying that they contacted with the supplier, Expedia, and whole amount would be refunded. However, when I called cleartrip, they've never given me any information about refund amount. They keep saying they will check and call me back but there is no call no information. I wanted to contact with the supplier, "Expedia Affiliate Network" but they don't have an email address. I'm helpless and don't know what to do.
