Deepika Sundar filed complaint against Uber Cabs on Jul 17, 2018
I took a cab on Sunday afternoon. Soon after getting out of the cab, I realised I left my house keys on the seat of my cab. Uber does not share the driver's phone number with you. So through the portal I tried reaching the driver. Despite trying ** times to reach the driver, I had no success. So by Sunday afternoon, I lodged a complaint with Uber through all means possible (mail, facebook, the app) seeking to solve this. Entire Sunday goes by. I hear nothing from Uber (let me remind you that this is my house key and I cant enter home without this key). Finally by Monday afternoon they condescend to answer on Facebook (asking for my telephone number on a public forum). Despite sharing all details required by them, I hear nothing. And finally on Tuesday (today), i get a mail from them which in effect says "Hey! sorry. even we can reach the driver we sent to pick you up. So you are on your own. You can take legal action if you want". What is appalling is the absolute nonchalant way they have treated this whole episode. One question lingers in my head... so if this was a sexual harassment episode will they give the same "hey we cant reach out driver" excuse. At what point does customer satisfaction become a priority for a consumer facing business!
