Sony - Hidden Installation Charges and rude staff

I have purchased one home theater system from Sony Center – Goel Bros SCO ***, Sector **, Chandigarh for Rs **,***/-.

I have paid Rs **,***/- through the digital payment system (UPI). Person in charge confirmed to me that they will refund the excess payment within a week's time. The total paid amount is noted in the bill in the remarks section. The refund amount amount is still left to be credited.

At the time of purchase, I particularly asked the person in charge that the product should be installed at my place and provided the dimensions of the room.

It was confirmed that the audio cables required for the Multichannel setup and the extension cables for speakers at the back of the room will be included during the installation.

It was confirmed that the cost of the product should include all required accessories (mainly the cable which is required for connecting the *.* Ch speakers) required for installation.



When the person came for installation at my place I was asked to pay Rs ****/- as the cost of the above said cable.


Moreover, during installation your representative wanted to cut the original cable from the * speakers to extend the cable. I had objected to this as it might affect my warranty with the company. Your representative was very rough with me and left without installing.

This is a clear case of cheating. It was already established that no additional cost is required and that original parts are to be used while doing the installation.

How can Sony's official installation guy cut the cables to void the warranty of a product purchased just * days back ?

On call I was told if you don't want to void the warranty then get installation done after * year.
What kind of solution is that !!

I had tried raising a complaint via the toll-free number but the agents kept transferring my call. In the end no resolution was provided.



This item was purchased as a gift for my brothers *st Wedding Anniversary and the the whole experience has been very challenging.
