Aditya Bhadeshiya filed complaint against happyfares on Jun 22, 2025
I had searched for flights from Ahmedabad (AMD) to Kathmandu (KTM) on Skyscanner, where Happyfares was shown as offering the lowest fare. Based on the visible pricing and reviews, I proceeded with the booking and completed the payment of INR **,***.
However, instead of receiving a valid PNR or e-ticket, I received an email stating:
“Your booking with Reference Number: HBCCFLRG is currently pending, but we’ve received your payment.”
They also provided a login ID and password, but when I tried to log in to their website using the provided credentials, there were no active bookings visible under my account.
I attempted to contact them immediately:
-Phone calls to their helpline numbers went unanswered.
-On WhatsApp, I was told that due to a "sudden fare jump," my booking was pending and that I would need to pay an additional INR *,*** to confirm the booking.
At this point, I became certain it was a scam and promptly requested cancellation and a full refund. In response, I began receiving pre-drafted email replies, stating that my refund would be processed within **–** working days. They also started sending generic messages like, "We tried contacting you but couldn’t reach you", which appears to be an attempt to appear legitimate.
I have attached all relevant proofs, including:
-Email correspondence,
-WhatsApp chat screenshots,
-Booking confirmation message,
-Google Map listing of the agency,
-Website login attempt screenshots.
I humbly request your assistance in securing a full refund, as this amount represents my hard-earned money. I trust that appropriate action will be taken against such misleading and unethical practices.
