I had booked an online package for Bali in Aug'**, just ** days before the travel date of **th Dec'**, I got a call from makemytrip customer care team, she told me that there had been some volcano Eruption happened in Bali and it's there in news and we have received an advisory from ministry to inform customers and in case they are not willing , we will refund ***% on cancellation. She also informed that most of the customers have cancelled their trip. I checked with family and given my general consent on mail to cancel and process the refund.
But post that I did not get the acknowledgement for the same. When I wrote couple of mails and tried to contact them on helpline no. , Everytime I was connected to some or the other executive and same story I had to repeat. I wrote them on Twitter as well, post that after a month's follow up the narrative was changed and it was communicated to me that this cancellation was my voluntarily cancellation, hence they will refund on **% of the amount paid.
They have refund only **% till date and I am still following up with them for ***% refund which was my hard earned money.
Post that trip cancellation, and as it was booked for my relative who got married on *th Dec'**, I had booked another package for Phuket and Krabi on **th Dec departure,spending more than that for Bali.

I got my refund. You guys have really helped me when I needed it the most! Thanks again for your help :-)
