Arohi Singh filed complaint against Paytm on Nov 19, 2021
My mother is a runs computer classes. She got a call from a person named Shrikant Verma on **th Novemeber who told her that he’s from Indian army currently posted in Jammu and Kashmir. His kids stay in Ahmedabad and they want to learn computer courses. He told to send syllabus of the course. After this whole thing he agreed to start the classes. He told that he wanted to pay through Google pay but my mother didn’t have Google pay so she gave my paytm QR code for payment. I received a call from him stating that in army they have system to do the payment. So for safer side he will start with * rupees. He told me that he will pay * rupees at first. He told that in army for deduction of * rupees from his account first I need to accept the the deduction of rupees * from my account. I got the message I accepted it thinking it’s an Indian army rule. I got * rupees back in my account. So I thought that the person must be correct. Next time he followed the same procedure for **,*** rupees and *,*** rupees. Both the transactions failed at my end but I came to know that this Money has been deducted from my account. This happened around *pm on **th November. If the transaction is failed from my end how come paytm can deduct money from my account. I have complained immediately(at *:**pm on **th November) about this to paytm but there is no response from them. There's no paytm customer support contact number to tell about this. They told that will respond within * hours but now its close to ** hours and they have not responded yet.
