Agoda - Fraudulent and unethical practice for hotel bookings

Dear Agoda Team & Marigold Sarovar team,


This is with reference to the booking done/stay through Agoda vide Booking ID ********* for the days i.e from check in **.**.**** to Check out **.**.****.
On checking with Marigold sarovar booking site, It was brought to our notice that the prices mentioned on your website were untrue. You wrongfully attracted our attention by showing the price extremely high and then adding a **% discount (republic day offer) to it. Moreover, you were practicing the last few minutes strategy to let the customer just grab the opportunity and not able the prospect customer to check the thing from other sites / agents. The original price/tariff of the stay was (i.e the rooms allotted to us were room no *** and *** were very normal rooms) very similar to the one we got after this huge discount of **%. (It is noted that the room tariffs mentioned by you for the rooms given to us ,were much higher i.e **% higher even than for room tariffs for the premium rooms category). This is a fraudulent and unethical practice and we therefore demand full refund against the compensation of our time/emotions and mental harassment we have been going through during the trip. Our Expense for this travel come to Rs **,*** , including hotel booking, other bills paid at the hotel and our travel cost. i.e as detailed below
