IRCTC - Fraud train canellation message

So, I reserved * seats in AC * tier of Train no. ***** Sdah Aii SF Express from Sealdah to Agra fort for *th January,****.I did the reservation for my elderly uncle and aunt.The PNR no was **********. But suddenly on *th january morning, my uncle received a message from TM-IRSMsa that the mentioned train is cancelled. But when I checked the IRCTC site the train was showing active on system but as both my uncle and aunt were elderly so to avoid any unwanted situation, I cancelled the ticket and I received an email that INR ****.** will be refunded but later that day when I checked,I found that the the train left as per its scheduled departure time from sealdah.
so, i want my complete refund.
