Himanshu filed complaint against Amazon on Jun 4, 2021
I had ordered HP laptop (model no- HP** (****) thin & light ryzon *-****) with configuration *GB RAM, *TB HDD, **.* cms (**’’) FHD Screen, Windows **, MS Office (**s-gr****AU) I B**T*SJ*** on **.**.**** (order number: ***-*******-*******) which was delivered to me on **.**.****. After unboxing I turned on the laptop I found that screen is damaged and requested for return (order #***-*******-*******) on **.**.****. The pickup was scheduled for **.**.**** but none of your executive came for the pickup. So we called your customer support and talked to Ms. Akansha and she said the pickup will be done by today(**.**.****) evening. Then a person came in afternoon for pickup and I handed over the laptop to him but later when I checked the status in Amazon app nothing was updated and next day when I asked the customer care executive, he said nothing was picked up for this order id (#***-*******-*******).
After this, detailed conversation was done with your customer support but they are not ready to accept that the person came was from Amazon and also cancelled the return request.
Now the thing is if the person came for pickup was not from Amazon then who was he and how he knew that return order was placed by us and how did he know the name, address and product detail.
I request you to kindly check the matter and update me as soon as possible, otherwise I have to take the legal action against Amazon for the privacy disclosure of the customer, which will come under the act of violation of privacy (Section **E).
I also request you that after the investigation kindly refund the amount to the same debit account from which order was placed
