Air India Ease My Trip - Flight Cancelled Passengers not informed

Hi DGCA Team,

This is to inform you that we have booked our international flight from Kolkata(CCU) to Male(MLE) with Air India for our holiday travel to Maldives. This was a connecting flight from Kolkata to Male via Mumbai, PNR:*Q*K*J. However, the flight from Mumbai to Male is no longer operational. We were not informed by the Air India staff about this cancellation of Mumbai-Male flight at the time of boarding at Kolkata, and only learnt it at the Mumbai international airport. As the same PNR is present for both CCU-BOM and BOM-MLE, we should had been notified at the Kolkata airport itself by Air India team. On requesting for information at Mumbai, we did not receive support from the staff of Air India as they have refused to accept responsibility of informing passengers about such cancellations. As we were not intimated about this cancellation via email or any message, me and my wife are
currently stranded at the Mumbai airport with no support. Such negligence by Air India has not only jeopardised our honeymoon trip significantly but also caused a heavy financial loss for rebooking new tickets.


Request you to please take this up as an urgent complaint against Air India staff and duty managers.


Please guide us with the proper process of raising our unfortunate situation so that no other passengers have to face the same.
