Ford - Faulty Engine from Ford

I had visited to one of the showrooms in Bangalore Elite Ford, with an intention of buying a new car. I was introduced to the showroom manager who mentioned about the different vehicles and specifications. He also mentioned about a Demo Car which was pocket friendly who gave an assurance about the performance and recommending to buy the same.

The showroom assured me about the vehicle conditions, I really liked the vehicle . With all the positive thoughts and the vehicle brand made me to buy that Demo CAR Ford Figo Titanium AT.

Issues started when I found the coolant in the car was just below the minimum level ( at this time I had driven only for ****KM with this vehicle). Since there was another showroom near to my home , I rushed there with my vehicle for the inspections. With the initial root cause analysis , the service centre person mentioned to change the hose and some of the parts. I had replaced those considering my issue is very small without involving much expenditure.

But I came to know the real major issue when the problem started recurring this month when I went for long drive. I got the warning for Engine cooling system. I had to refill the coolant. When I took my vehicle for the inspection I was told that the vehicle engine is having a major problem needs to be replaced.

My technical person mentioned that the problem was pre-existing before I bought, which was later confirmed by the Ford service center.

The Ford showroom manager provided me with a quote of about *,**,***INR to replace the whole engine.


I was shocked to hear that the problem with my car engine which ran about ~****KM after I bought. How can an engine failure happen not even crossing its **% of the its durability life cycle. I was assured that the vehicle engine is in good condition and will not have any problem for next few years.

I have got around **% Discount with Ex showroom price for this car, since it was a Demo vehicle which I never expected that there will be a compromise on the performance on the engine for the money I paid.

I am well aware that the FORD is a brand for Performance, Drive comfort and Safety. With this thought I bought the vehicle. I have many family members who owns different ford vehicle, with their review I made a decision to buy this vehicle
