Mohammad Riyaz filed complaint against Shadowfax on Aug 3, 2023
I have been receiving fraudulent text messages claiming that I have a parcel awaiting delivery. According to the messages, the delivery partner will contact me shortly, and the parcel is designated as a cash on delivery (COD) shipment. However, I have no knowledge of placing any orders from any website, and regrettably, I have not received any updates from the purported delivery partner, ShahdowFax.
Upon contacting ShahdowFax's customer care, I was informed that there are no active shipments associated with my account. It has become evident that these messages are part of a deceptive scheme, consisting of fake orders.
Additionally, when I attempted to request cancellation of the alleged order from the delivery boy, I was provided with an OTP (One-Time Password) for cancellation purposes. Nevertheless, I am apprehensive about sharing this OTP, as I cannot verify its legitimacy.
While I am relieved that my safety remains uncompromised thus far, the incessant frequency of receiving five calls each week, each with different purported orders, has left me deeply frustrated and concerned.
In light of these circumstances, I am seeking formal advice on the appropriate course of action to address and resolve this alarming situation of potential scam or fraud. Your guidance in this matter would be sincerely appreciated.
