SIDDHESH ANIL DESAI filed complaint against Booking.com on May 27, 2026
I was travelling from Mumbai to Prague, Czech Republic, with my family and *-year-old baby, and had booked a hotel for two days on Booking.com for EUR *** (Confirmation No. **********). When we arrived for check-in, we discovered that the address did not exist and the listing on Booking.com was fake. We were stranded on the streets for more than two hours in an unfamiliar city while trying to find alternate accommodation. Since it was peak time, the cheapest available hotel cost EUR ***, and I had no option but to book it through Booking.com after confirming availability directly with the hotel. Despite this serious issue and the inconvenience caused to my family, Booking.com customer support offered only EUR ** as credit and refused to reimburse the excess amount I had to pay due to their negligence. This is completely unacceptable, and I request assistance in recovering the additional amount incurred because of Booking.com’s failure to verify the listing.
