I ordered a SanDisk Cruzer Blade ** GB pen drive from Amazon India website on the **st of February ****. Delivery was around **th February ****. The pen drive stopped working on the *th of April ****. Since Amazon India website has a **-day return window from date of delivery, no return claims were accepted.
I contacted SanDisk company via email. After reviewing the product details they have confirmed that the item bought from the Amazon India website is a fake. They have confirmed this via their email too. In their email, they have clearly stated that no fake product warranty claims will be entertained.
I contacted the Amazon customer team with this information, but they have refused to listen. They continue to state that it is not their company policy and that any repairs should be done via the parent company irrespective of the circumstances. Fake and spurious goods are being sold on Amazon through deals and discounts, thus fooling the general public.
This is a case which requires redressal through a consumer complaint as well as public attention to the fact that their hard earned money is being used to buy fake products on Amazon. The order no is ***-*******-*******.
