I booked flights to Malaysia from Trichy on **th April. My travel date was on **th April. The amount was ***** INR. Money was deducted from my account but I didn't get any confirmation. Instead, I got a mail of cancellation and refund. They said due to a technical problem in MMT's payment gateway money got stuck inside MMT. So they processed the refund. But why did they not call me or inform me before doing so? A similar issue had happened with a friend of mine and he got a call for his confirmation to get it refunded or not.
We were * friends planned to travel to Malaysia on **th April. Since it was first-time travel, we all wanted to book it together in the same flight. But because this cancellation happened, we had to wait for MMT to do the refund and then do all the bookings together. I spoke to MMT hundreds of time, they said I'll get the refund it may be ** mins or half day but maximum within * days that is by **th I'll get the refund. I requested and pleaded to them saying I've to travel on **th and also I've to do the visa. So please get my refund. They only kept telling it's processed but I never got it. I even spoke to my bank, they kept telling they never got anything from MMT. Daily I was calling but nobody responded well or did they help me. When I did the booking on MMT, each round-trip cost me **k per person. MMT asked me to wait till **th and I waited. I did not have the extra money to book other flights. But never received. Somehow I arranged money and when I tried to do flights, it cost me **k per person. All this happened because of this cancellation. For * people, totally it would've cost me approx **,*** INR. But because of this cancellation, I had to change my plans to travel on **nd and also totally I had to pay *,**,*** INR for flights.
Because Of MMT, I had to face a loss of **,*** INR. Though ingot refund back on **rd April, who will pay me this extra **k which I had to bear. What was my mistake here, why did I have to bear extra **k for the mistake happened by MakeMyTrip. **k is not a small amount, who will pay me for this. Please help me with this issue. I need a resolution from MakeMyTrip.
