Amazon India - Didn't receive refund

I bought a watch on **september ****, but found a defect in it. So I asked for replacement. But then someone gifted me a watch so I cancelled the delivery. Amazon sent my money from cheque. I didn't want cheque, so I asked them to change my payment method. They said wait for * days before cancelling. I contacted them at * Oct. They changed my payment method to amazon pay. First they said ** hour wait. Then at last they said if I don't get my money till ** october, I will get my amount as gift balance instantly. So today is ** October and now they are saying wait another * days. They said the cheque has not been cancelled, but instead of * business days as per their terms I have waited ** days and still they are not giving me my money.
