Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally raise a grievance regarding my insurance claim for my television purchased in ****, which is currently under coverage with your company.
Recently, my television developed a fault, and I raised a service request. However, when the service agent visited my home, he informed me that the claim could not be processed since the serial number sticker is missing from the television unit.
I wish to bring to your notice the following points:
I have the original purchase invoice, which clearly mentions the product details and serial number.
The product is genuine, and the insurance policy was taken in good faith to safeguard against such contingencies.
The missing serial number sticker should not be considered valid grounds for rejecting the claim, as it may have been removed/worn off naturally over time.
Nowhere in the policy document or terms and conditions is it mentioned that the presence of a physical serial number sticker is mandatory for claim processing.
As a customer, I believe this constitutes deficiency of service, since all other proofs of purchase and coverage are available. I kindly request you to reconsider and process my claim based on the available documentation.
If my grievance is not resolved within the stipulated timeline, I will be constrained to escalate the matter further with the Insurance Ombudsman/Consumer Forum for relief.
