I ordered an iPhone as someone’s birthday gift by relying on Amazon’s one day delivery. I ordered the product as a birthday gift for someone whose birthday was on Saturday. I saw the estimated delivery date was for Friday **th of June ****, So I went ahead and ordered a product worth more than ** K to surprise someone at ** AM on Saturday. Just to make sure I called Amazon customer care like three times on Friday to get the order delivered as promised. They said your order will be delivered on Friday itself do not worry about that(Blatantly lying to the customers. That’s how they have been trained). As expected by Amazon service the product did not get delivered on friday.so I call them again on Saturday morning and they said this order has some delivery problem so please wait until Saturday end of the day and your product will get delivered. So I thought at least I could give the gift on Saturday Which was the birthday. But again the product did not get delivered on Saturday and they said it will be delivered by end of today, Sunday. And now when I call them they are saying that the product’s last delivery date has been changed to Tuesday. So one day delivery promise went down to become * to * days. How can the customer just let go of this kind of situation. They cannot just blatantly lie to customers right in the face. the customer have priorities. they order the product for some reason and if you don’t deliver it on time it does not serve the purpose. For the past few days I have been through an extensive level of mental frustration because of this. They have updated in the app that the customer have asked for a different delivery date. I have been calling them to make sure to get the order delivered as early as possible and they tease and play with customer’s mind like this by updating false information in the app.
I am a prime customer and I am extremely disappointed with Amazon service. I will keep spreading awareness to each and everyone I can reach.
