I ordered a laptop from Amazon and the price dropped within **hrs or ordering. I contacted amazon customer service and the agent promised compensation in the chat. I wasn't sure about their promises in chat or calls so I asked him to send me a mail regarding the same which he did. Amazon promised to pay the difference amount after the return period expiry. Now it's almost ** days since the return period expiry - they are denying the compensation and are apologizing for the mis information by the agent who promised the compensation.
I tried escalation with their leadership team but they kept saying that they can't help as they don't have the policy for this and that the agent will be penalized for his mistake internally. They just disconnected after that wasting my time and effort.
They are not honouring their own emails. I am a prime member of Amazon yet there is no benefit when it comes to customer care. Amazon used to be the best but things have changed drastically. A lot of goof ups going on.
