I am employed in Karnataka Power Corporation Limited. I reside in No. */*, opposite KPCL hospital, Gerusoppa, Honnavar taluk ******. I purchased a new water purifier Aquaguard SELECT NRICH UV (GWPDNRIUV*****; ****************) ON **.**.****. During installation the distributor assured water purification of **** liters for one cartridge/candle/filter. Between **.**.**** and **.**.****, the filter indicated the need for filter replacement and stopped working. I raised a complaint with the customer care. But there was no response. after much persuasion and follow up, on **.**.****, a technician from Kumta attended and replaced the candle / filter. I had expressed that it is not possible for a family of * adults and * kid to consume **** lts of water in less than * months and requested for a change of device. However, they convinced me by providing a filter free of cost (which is by default as the device is under warrantee). Once again, on **.**.****, the device indicated the need for filter replacement and stopped working. I lodged a complaint on **.**.**** and **.**.**** again. that too within less than * months of changing/replacing the filter (of which, the device has not been used for * days as I was out of town). Till date, i.e., even after * month, there has been no response from the company. the Distributors Mr. Rachappa has blocked the calls and does not respond. The technicians who are supposed to visit within * working days have so far not turned up.
When i tries to follow up with the technician Mr. Karthick (**********), Mr. Girish (**********), i had been falsely assured of resolving the issue within * days several times.
On one instance, Mr. Girish has expressed that there is no availibility of spares for the model.
In this regard, as a consumer, my apprehension is, there is even when the device is under waranty, there is no response only. When the warranty ends, what will be the fate?
I have undergone lot of inconvenience and mental agony because of the my son falling ill due to water filter not working. And availing leave every time I was assured of technician attending. I request an apology from the company and refund for the device and compensation for the mental agony I have experienced.
I got my refund. You guys have really helped me when I needed it the most! Thanks again for your help :-)
