Airtel - data loan pack activated without consent

I dialed *******# to know data pack options.
Selected option * for *G
Then, selected * to know about the list of data loan plans available.

But, this has activated a plan that gives me ** mb data for ** Rs. How am I supposed to know this will activate a plan instead of providing me the list of available options?
If I select option * for data, they show list of available packs instead of randomly activating a pack for me.

** rs is not a big deal. But, I feel cheated & this might have happened to others as well & the airtel customer care doesn't resolve this issue stating that it is my fault, that i selected that option.

I hope airtel acknowledges this & take appropriate action.
