Amazon India - Damaged product

Amazon delivered a ** liter “Agaro Oven toaster Griller“ vide prepaid Order: ***-*******-******* on December **th ****.

The product had an outer Amazon packaging that was sealed. However, the inner manufacturer packaging was open and the product is dented.

Amazon fulfilled this order for a seller named “Authorised Seller” using their FBA service and that’s why I ordered a high value item as they had arranged a pickup for damaged products earlier and issued a replacement.

However this time for no valid reasons Amazon customer support is saying that I have to self ship this product back to the seller by paying out of my pocket and then wait for a refund. Their return confirmation page shows that I will get re-imbursed for up to *** rupees for shipping. The cost of me shipping this back will be way more than *** rupees.

The seller who sold this product is not selling this product anymore and Amazon want me to believe that the seller will issue a refund upon receipt when they can’t do anything about it now.

The seller named “Authorised seller” is a fraud trying to sell damaged items on various listings on Amazon and gets off the listing after selling the defective items and Amazon is not ready to provide any remedy here.
