Thulasi Gopalakrishnan Nair filed complaint against Amazon on Nov 2, 2023
As a part of the Amazon Great Indian Festival, I had ordered LG *** Litre Refrigerator (Order# ***-*******-*******) for an exchange of my old working fridge. My old fridge was picked up on the Oct **th and the new one was also delivered on the same day.
Unfortunately, we had to face a lot of issues for the delivery of the new fridge. Delivery boys insisted us to give them extra money otherwise denied to deliver the fridge in my house. In spite of paying extra money they delivered the fridge outside the house and left. They were very rude and misbehaved which made me complain the same to Amazon. To keep the package safe I had to move it inside the house all by my myself. After few days on **th Oct, LG team came to install the fridge and while unpacking it came to our notice that the fridge light is broken. They suggested to exchange/return the item and left the place without packing it. I requested Amazon for an exchange of the defective with another same model. As that model was unavailable, their only option as refund which I finally agreed for. Till today the fridge has not been picked up and I have not received my money back. Though the pick up guys made attempt, as the fridge was unpacked they refused to take it and reported that we did not open the door.
I have been staying without a fridge for the last * weeks and am not sure for how long will have to continue this. The losses caused due to this purchase as below:
*. Mental Torture: I had been through a lot over the past * weeks, The money I spent for fridge is a dead money(Rs *****). I would get it back only after the defective fridge reaches the firmhouse and they do inspection which I am not sure when as it is still lying in my house.
*. Money loss: I have been spending money for ordering food from outside for me and my family from past * weeks which is quite huge. Also, where is the money spent for tips to the delivery boys accountable?
*. Space constraint: As the defective fridge is still in my house, I cannot buy a new one from store as there is no space to accommodate one more.
*. Time loss: The time spent in coordinating with customer care guys cannot be recovered and moreover its not easy to get them connected. Almost every day I have been calling them and following it up.
With due respect, I would like to tell you that Amazon doesn’t respect customers Time and Money. I would request for a compensation for what I am facing currently as this is something which cannot be accepted at all.
