On January *, ****, at **:** PM, my Amazon account was hacked, and an unauthorized purchase of two mobile phones (₹**,*** each, total ₹**,***) was made using my saved ICICI Bank credit card . The fraudster changed the delivery address and contact details, preventing me from intercepting the delivery.The fraudster also sent multiple OTP spam (OTP bombing) to my mobile number and email to flood my inbox and prevent me from noticing the purchase notification. As a result, I only discovered the fraudulent transaction after the product had already been delivered.

Steps Taken to Report the Incident:
*. Blocked the credit card immediately after discovering the unauthorized transaction. Received an IVR call claiming to be from Amazon Customer Care, stating that a request had been made to change my Amazon Prime registered mobile number. The automated voice instructed me to enter a verification code on my mobile phone to cancel the mobile number change request.
*. Raised a chargeback request with ICICI Bank to reverse the fraudulent transaction.
*. Filed a cybercrime complaint to report the unauthorized access to my Amazon account and the fraudulent transaction.
*.Filed a police complaint and CSR is filed. Provided those details to Icici, cybercrime and amazon team.
*. Contacted Amazon Customer Support multiple times, explaining the situation and requesting an investigation.
Despite my repeated follow-ups, Amazon has failed to take any action or provide any update regarding the case. Instead:
Initially, Amazon’s customer service rudely dismissed my complaint, claiming that it was due to "customer negligence."
When I asked about an investigation against the fraudster, Amazon refused to share any details, stating that they would "communicate directly with the police."
Even after raising an official unauthorized activity complaint, Amazon has not provided a single update on:
How the fraudster accessed my credentials and CVV details.
Whether ICICI Bank’s chargeback request was acted upon.
Whether an FIR has been filed against the fraudster.
Any legal steps taken to recover my money.
My email was ignored, and my numerous calls to customer support have yielded no resolution.
As a long-term Amazon customer of over a decade, I trusted Amazon’s security measures, yet my hard-earned money was stolen without any accountability.
The fraudster sent hundreds of spam emails to my inbox to hide the order confirmation, making it difficult for me to detect the transaction on time.
This incident has caused severe emotional distress, as my attempts to seek justice and recover my funds have been ignored.
Since Amazon has shown complete negligence and failed to address my grievance, I am now escalating this matter legally through Voxya.
