SAkthimurugan Subramani filed complaint against DTDC on Apr 11, 2018
I had couriered a laptop from Hosur to New Delhi on Feb **th, **** with consignment number V********. I had asked to book the consignment with insurance. Rs.**** was charged for courier and Rs.**** was charged for insurance, which is *% of the declared value (Rs.*****). A sum of Rs.**** was charged totally by DTDC,Hosur. On **th Feb ****, the consignment reached Mr.Balaji at New Delhi. The parcel reached in late evening. A house wife received the parcel, who signed the receiver receipt as good condition. Being a lady alone at home, she did not have the time to open and check the parcel in presence of the courier delivery guy. When we opened the parcel, we found that the laptop display was not working. We reported this immediately to DTDC customer support, customersupport@dtdc.com. We took it to service center, and they confirmed the laptop was damaged during transit . We also approached DTDC,Hosur to start the claim process. Mr.Manjunath gave vague reasons and denied the claim. Unsatisfied with his reasoning, we spoke to Mr. Suresh, Business development manager accepted that our claim is genuine; however he could not process the claim. He asked us to speak with Mr.Mohan, Regional Office, DTDC. He told us the real reason that Franchise office at hosur, failed to settle the insurance amount to DTDC and did not book the insurance at all. Mr.Manjunath delayed the claim procedure for close to ** days now. Mr.Mohan also asked to try to settle the matter with Manjunath amicably. When we approached Manjunath again, he was not cooperative to us for amicable settlement. The monetary loss in the transit alone stands at Rs.*****. It was a gift to recipientThe insurance claim is delayed for ** days.For lack of attitude in service, and also false promise made, and delay in settling the claim we want a compensation of Rs.**,***
