Deepak Kumar Singha filed complaint against Pristyn care on Jul 4, 2025
I am writing to raise a formal complaint against Pristyn Care, Prateek Securities (Care.fi), and Jeevan Raksha Hospital, Rohini for misleading medical advice, unethical practices, and unauthorized deduction of funds under false pretenses. If your office is not the appropriate authority to address this matter, I humbly request you to direct me to the relevant department or regulatory body that can take cognizance and initiate the necessary action.
I initially approached Pristyn Care for medical treatment inquiries for my father. Based on their assessment, I was told that a surgery was necessary, and I was referred to a clinic within their network. Ms. Savita Kumari, a coordinator from Pristyn Care, contacted me and assured me that the entire cost of treatment would be covered under my health insurance, and I would only be required to pay a minimal co-pay charge at the hospital. She informed me that Prateek Securities (Care.fi)—with whom Pristyn Care has a partnership—would handle the insurance process.
She also told me that Jeevan Raksha Hospital in Rohini, which is allegedly affiliated with Pristyn Care, had been finalized for the surgery. Upon visiting the hospital, I was extremely concerned to find that it lacked even basic medical infrastructure. However, trusting the assurances of Pristyn Care, I went ahead and paid INR *,*** as an admission fee.
Soon after, I realized that the hospital lacked qualified doctors and trained staff. When I requested to discharge the patient without undergoing the surgery and sought a refund, both the hospital and Pristyn Care refused. They claimed I would need to pay INR **,*** as room rent for a room no larger than * x ** feet. Despite these concerns, Pristyn Care assured me that Dr. Anwar Hussain (the same doctor who did the initial assessment) would be brought in for the surgery. Based on this assurance, I reluctantly agreed to proceed.
The next day, I was informed that I must sign an e-NACH agreement to pay the bill—otherwise, the patient would not be discharged. Over the phone, I was verbally assured that this was merely a formality and that no money would be deducted unless and until the insurance claim was approved and the amount was credited to my account.
After the surgery, I made several attempts to contact Ms. Savita Kumari, but she stopped responding to my calls and never provided the contact details of the doctor who performed the surgery.
Worse still, my father's condition did not improve after the surgery—it deteriorated. I then took him to Manipal Hospital, where the doctors informed me that the surgery had not been necessary, and in fact, was not even properly performed.
On June *st, to my shock, an amount of INR **,*** was debited from my account by Prateek Securities (Care.fi) via the e-NACH mandate I had been pressured to sign. This deduction was made without any prior notification and despite clear verbal assurances from both Pristyn Care and Care.fi that no amount would be withdrawn before the insurance claim was settled. As of today, I have not received any insurance claim amount, nor have I been updated on the status of the claim.
In an attempt to resolve the matter, I also wrote a couple of emails to the Pristyn Care helpdesk regarding the unauthorized deduction of INR **,*** from my account. Unfortunately, they did not bother to offer any resolution or support. Instead, I received multiple calls from representatives of Care.fi, who tried to justify the deduction and tried to convince me that they were within their rights to take the money—despite prior verbal assurances to the contrary. At no point did Pristyn Care take ownership of the issue, nor did they attempt to mediate or clarify the situation.
Both Ms. Savita Kumari from Pristyn Care and Mr. Irfan from Care.fi clearly stated in recorded conversations that no deduction would take place until the claim was approved and paid. Yet Care.fi now claims they had the right to make the deduction and have asked me to contact Pristyn Care for any dispute. Pristyn Care, on the other hand, has completely stopped responding to my emails and calls.
This entire experience highlights what appears to be a coordinated malpractice involving Pristyn Care, Prateek Securities, and Jeevan Raksha Hospital—targeting unsuspecting patients and misusing insurance procedures to extract money under false promises. It raises serious concerns regarding patient safety, medical ethics, and financial fraud in the healthcare system.
I kindly request the concerned authorities to investigate this matter thoroughly and take immediate and strict action against the organizations involved. It is imperative that such practices are stopped so that others do not have to endure the trauma and financial loss I have experienced.
Thanks and Regards,
Deepak Kumar Singha
