I am writing to lodge a formal complaint against MakeMyTrip (MMT) regarding the misrepresentation of services and negligence displayed by their team, which has resulted in significant mental and financial distress for me.
On *rd Jan ****, I made a reservation through MakeMyTrip for a two-way flight from Delhi to Toronto (Booking ID: IN*B*************, IN*B*************, and IN*B*************). During the booking process, I was assured by the MakeMyTrip agent that the reservation would include seat selection and meals. Relying on this assurance, I proceeded with the booking, expecting to have my preferences accommodated.
However, upon receiving the booking confirmation, I discovered that the promised seat selection was not included. When I reached out to MakeMyTrip's customer support team to address this discrepancy, I was met with a dismissive response, with the agent suggesting that I could select seats during manual web check-in.
This lack of accountability and transparency on the part of MakeMyTrip is deeply disappointing and frustrating. It is unacceptable to promise certain services during the booking process and then backtrack on those promises without any regard for the customer's expectations.
Furthermore, despite my repeated requests, MakeMyTrip has failed to provide the transcript of my conversation with their agent, which would serve as evidence of the misinformation provided during the booking process. This negligence on their part only exacerbates the situation and highlights their disregard for customer satisfaction.
The consequences of MakeMyTrip's actions extend beyond mere inconvenience; they have resulted in a breach of trust and financial loss on my part. As a paying customer, I expect MakeMyTrip to fulfill its commitments and uphold the standards of transparency and accountability.
Therefore, I demand immediate action from MakeMyTrip to rectify this situation. This includes honoring the original terms of the booking, providing compensation for the inconvenience caused, and taking steps to ensure that such incidents do not recur in the future.
I trust that the Consumer Complaint Forum will take prompt action to address this matter and hold MakeMyTrip accountable for their actions. I am prepared to provide any additional information required to support my complaint.
