Colife Advisory Private limited - Colive has adjusted my Deposit against rent dues that don t exist

I booked a room in Colive in Mar ****. The rent was ***** and deposit to be paid was * months' deposit. I paid ***** deposit in March and that month's rent. In May, I requested for an occupancy change from single sharing to double sharing. They informed me that I had to pay full deposit of **k after which they'll initiate the transfer. I agreed and paid the extra **k deposit. They asked me to raise a ticket for this in their App and I did on May **th. However, no one was responding to my ticket.

After lots of texts and calls for which I rarely got response, I raised one more ticket in Jun which got some response. Finally in July they closed the transfer.

Please note that only the type of occupancy was transferred. I did not move. I was in the same room. Which means they could have initiated the transfer in May itself.

During the period from March to October I hadn't stayed in the property for even a day due to Covid I was stuck in my hometown.

I told the billing department that I won't pay **k for June and July as they dragged this on for long. After a lot of talks, they agreed that I only had to pay *k from June. During this time, they sneakily adjusted off half my deposit *k+*k against June and July rent thereby charging me **k in both months.

Now when I asked for explanation, they have adjusted the complete calculation and Haven't even shown the deposit given to them, instead considered it as rent. Now they're threatening to throw me out of the apartment as I've asked them to set off my this month's rent against my excess deposit.

I should be charged only *k each for June and July as I had been requesting since May and I should get the refund of my excess deposit **k.
