S Arefin filed complaint against OYO Rooms on Apr 14, 2020
This is regarding my Booking ID MUFT****. I had booked with hotel OYO ***** Mumtaz Mahal in Agra for *th March ****. On the after noon of *th March ****, i got to know from the manager of the property that the property was going to be closed for renovation with immediate effect. I had called him to let him know my late check in time. He had also told that he had informed OYO hotel about the sudden change via email just when I called him around *.**pm.
Knowing this, i called customer care and Mr. Nitesh booked me with hotel orchid. He also told that any extra amount incurred would be adjusted by OYO as the cancellation of my initial booking was not by me but by the property.
But while checking out, i was asked to pay ***/- and your customer support was working on a resolution for almost *.*hrs. As i had to leave, i paid and checked out.
I called and emailed OYO hotels multiple times but they put the call on hold for a long time to check with the manager of hotel mumtaz mahal! Wonder that they did not get the email from the hotel manager about the property being cancelled for renovation. Also, how can someone close the hotel for renovation in such a short time!!
Emails to the customer support are reverted saying the issue was resolved where as it was not resolved. Kindly look into the matter as this is a clear case of false promise, harassment and cheating.
