Lakshmi Narayanan filed complaint against Airtel on Aug 15, 2019
I got an Airtel secure handset protection since last year. I have raised claim as my iPhone * was damaged (**/**/****). I have uploaded all the necessary documents to their portal as per Airtel team’s advise. Finally, they have said, "your claim is closed or cannot proceed further as they have given a reason“. The phone was gifted from non-family member”. For your information “the same handset was claimed against physical damage during last year” then how come this year is not possible? (the policy was renewed and active till Oct ****) I tried to call *** customer representative, nodal officer etc. They are not answering properly used to say sorry.
Please find the attached copy of actual insurance certificate and a screen shot of the reply mail from Airtel secure stated the reason for rejecting my claim. While comparing both (reasons for rejection of claim Vs. policy terms) I didn't find any single point to reject my claim.
Moreover, I used to pay Rs. ** /Monthly for Airtel secure for more than a year then. What is the point of paying the premium amount? I thought am I got cheated.
Please help me to resolve my issue as I am a physically challenged person I could not move here and there frequently. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
