Gunjan Shah filed complaint against Agoda on Oct 16, 2022
I booked a property in Thailand for INR **,***/-, with an Indian card, with option of giving my card on their file and the actual payment will be deducted ** days before the stay date.
Nowhere during the booking or in the T&C does it say that I will be charged in USD.
When the amount was deducted, I was charged INR **,***/-
When I contacted customer care, they said it was because of change in exchange rate.
However, nowhere is it mentioned while booking that amount deducted on due date will be as per ongoing exchange rate.
This has caused a loss of nearly INR ****/- plus the mental stress of chatting for nearly an hour with an unhelpful Agoda agent.

I got my refund. You guys have really helped me when I needed it the most! Thanks again for your help :-)
