Redbus - Bus Cancelled not informed Unresponsive operator contact details Travel marked as completed

I booked a bus from Banglore to Ooty, in Redbus, bus operator - Sam Tourist. The bus was scheduled at **.** p.m. I reached the pickup point at **.** p.m. I waited and try calling the bus operator. All the three numbers were ringing but no one answered. I waited and waited. My mother tensed of me standing late night waiting for the bus alone. Tried calling Sam tourist support, after surfing the internet for their number. Then they informed her that the bus was cancelled. Neither Redbus nor Sam tourist informed this priorly, even after the time of bus. My mother had to hunt for what's up with the bus. I already waited there till ** then returned back to home and next day morning I am greeted with a redbus message and mail that says "Thankyou, for completing the trip with redbus". I suspect this is a scam. Perfect way to make money without actually doing the service.
