Akhilesh Bharadwaj filed complaint against Bookmyshow on Feb 17, 2025
I booked a ticket for Chhava on Wednesday accidentally for Friday **th February **** instead of **th February ****. After the payment it reflected the date and I instantly jumped on to cancel but they do not have a * button cancelation option as the Supreme Court and National Consumer form has directed. This in turn too my ** seconds to reach their support and Sailesh from their support made sure I deal with his ego and attitude issue over my concern with cancelation charges and to back it up, they blantly lied about a dashboard that shows cancelation breakdown at booking stage itself. Which to my experience, does not exist. I informed of malpractice and that they cannot ask me to pay for a service I dint use but he and his team (whom I reached over email) stayed adamant blaming cinema hall for the charges (PNR Falicity Cinephile) stating they want BookMyShow to charge my the **% of my ticket price for ** seconds of booking and for a show that is ** hours away though I would rebook for the right date. I reached their support and they denied assistance. Surprisingly their malpractices don't just limited to extorting cash blaming cinema halls but they denied the rightful information of transaction ID which as per the law is obstructing consumer right to avail legal assistance. They have no fear of the law and despite the warning of legal proceedings, they have dared me to proceed.

My two years of blood & sweat got valued finally with Voxya. I got a full refund with no hustle after they received notice.
