Makemytrip.com - Booking cancelled without my consent with little refund while there is option to rebook

I booked a ticket for my mom from Hyd-AKL roundtrip in November. She came to Akl and flights got cancelled due to COVID-**. Contacted the airlines direclty and they said they can change the dates but I've to go through travel agent as I didnt book them airlines directly. Makemytrip later asked me that they are cancelling booking and can refund me **k which I've not agred to and they replied me back that they are looking into my request. later they just cancelled and refunded me **k and not replying to emails or didn't contact me at all. Now to book flight one way is ***** from AKL to HYD. Hence the price difference ***** is a loss to me
