I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction and concern regarding a recent perilous incident involving a Vivo smartphone that belongs to my friend's housemaid, Kajal Singh. On **th May ****, the device catastrophically overheated, leading to the battery exploding and catching fire, posing an immediate threat to her personal safety. Despite presenting clear evidence of the malfunction to the Vivo service centre at VT station, Mumbai (and this being within the one-year warranty period) her claim for a rightful replacement has been unjustly disputed and dismissed. The service centre's demand for a repair fee of Rs **,*** is not only unreasonable but also disregards the potential life-threatening situation caused by their product. I urge Vivo India to take immediate responsibility for this severe product failure and provide a replacement at no cost, along with a formal apology for the distress and danger caused. Failure to address this issue promptly and adequately will compel us to pursue further action through consumer protection forums to seek justice and ensure such hazardous incidents do not recur.
