Free Charge - Baggage Delay Compensation Denial by Swiss International Airlines

I flew with Swiss International Airlines on May **th, **** from Delhi to Paris, with connecting flight at Zurich by Business Class. My baggage got delayed at the destination by a day. Swiss acknowledged their delay and agreed to compensate for the purchased clothing up on presentation of receipts. Once I presented the receipts of the purchased replacing clothing, Swiss denied my claim citing that I purchased the replacement clothing in Brussels, Belgium instead of Paris, France. I sent a copy of my connecting train ticket from Paris to Brussels as proof to Swiss but they still denied the claim saying that they compensate only if the replacement clothes were purchased in Paris. I purchased my train ticket from Brussels to Paris, well in advance and I did not have time to buy my replacement clothes in Paris due to delay of my Swiss flight. To avoid missing my connecting train, I had to purchase my replacement clothes in Brussels, Belgium. Swiss delivered my baggage the next day to Belgium. So, there is no choice for me other than to buy my clothes in Brussels, Belgium. It cost me ***.* Euros to purchase a pair of replacement clothes and underwear for * day. Swiss is being unfair in not compensating the amount to their error in baggage delay. It is creating financial burden and mental distress for me.
