My flight was booked for *th July ****. I received a mail from the airlines on **th March that the flight was cancelled due to operational reasons. I contacted Makemytrip to enquire about the same and the person contacted was trying to blame me for the cancellation, he asked me to contact the airlines and that he couldn't help me more. So I contacted the airlines, they said it was cancelled from their side due to operational reasons and the full amount will be refunded to MMT not to any credit shells. After receiving confirmation from the airlines I raised a request for 'Flight cancelled by airlines' in MakeMyTrip. After a week or so I received mail from MakeMyTrip that the request has been processed and after deducting cancellation fee and MMT Convenience fee the reset will be processed to my bank in a few days. After waiting for many weeks I didn't receive the refund amount, I tried to contact their customer care but I wasn't able to. I raised many tickets in the support, but they said it is processed to my wallet instead. I tried to get the reason for the same from them, but I never got the reason why this amount was refunded to wallet instead of my bank as they mentioned in the refund mail they had sent. It's been many weeks and I'm very frustrated with the response from the Makemytrip team.
