I am writing to you from Mumbai regarding an alarming incident of what appears to be blatant systemic fraud by Amazon India, which has resulted in me being defrauded of ₹**,***. The most shocking aspect? My product was marked "delivered" even before it physically arrived at my doorstep.
Here's a brief summary of the disturbing events surrounding Order # ***-*******-******* (LG Computer Monitor), placed on May **, ****:
Amazon's Own Advice & Pre-Delivery Fraud: I had contacted Amazon Customer Support due to an error in ordering (missing GST details) and was explicitly advised by them to refuse delivery at doorstep. However, moments before the delivery executive even reached my building, the Amazon system already updated the order status to "DELIVERED." This indicates a deliberate manipulation of delivery records prior to actual delivery.
Confrontation & Immediate Return: When the delivery executive did finally arrive with the already-marked-as-delivered monitor, I immediately confronted him. I clearly stated I had to refuse the product as instructed by Amazon CS. He admitted his "partner" had prematurely marked it delivered and took the product back after talking with him.
Irrefutable Evidence & Amazon's Deception: I immediately contacted Amazon Customer Support, who assured me it was a "delivery partner issue" and would be rectified. Crucially, I possess clear video and photographic evidence of the delivery executive taking the product back from my doorstep. Despite this, after multiple follow-ups, Amazon's "internal investigation" bizarrely concluded that I had received the product and refused my ₹**,*** refund.
"Leadership" Team Tells Me to "Go Public": To add insult to injury, when I escalated this within Amazon, a representative named Maya from their "Leadership Team" directly told me to "try getting help on social media since you have already posted it there." This shocking response, coupled with the fraudulent delivery status, suggests a deep-seated issue in Amazon's grievance redressal and potentially deceptive practices.
This isn't just about my ₹**,***. This is about a major e-commerce platform allegedly engaging in practices that undermines consumer trust and can leave anyone vulnerable to financial loss, even with clear evidence. If Amazon can falsely mark a product as delivered before it even reaches the customer and then deny a refund, what does it say about their system's integrity?
