My Airtel Distributor SIM suddenly stopped working and started showing a "No Service" error. Since the SIM became completely unusable, I visited an Airtel store to get a replacement SIM.
At the store, I was informed that a replacement could not be issued because the name available in Airtel's database did not match my KYC documents. The name displayed in Airtel's system was "Ayantibhai J Prajapati", whereas my correct name as per all valid government documents is "Jayantibhai Prajapati".
It appears that Airtel's records contain an error where the initial "J" from my name has been incorrectly shifted before my father's name, resulting in an incorrect customer profile. This discrepancy was not caused by me, and despite providing valid KYC documents, I was unable to complete the SIM replacement process.
Due to this issue, I have been left without access to my mobile connection. Additionally, I have approximately ₹*,*** available in my Airtel Mitra account, which I am currently unable to access because the SIM replacement has been blocked. This has caused considerable inconvenience and has negatively affected my business activities.
I have repeatedly attempted to resolve the issue through Airtel's support channels, but the problem remains unresolved. The inability to use my mobile connection and access the available balance in my Airtel Mitra account is causing ongoing hardship.
I am therefore seeking assistance to have my identity verified using my valid KYC documents, the incorrect name in Airtel's records corrected, my replacement SIM issued, and my access to the Airtel Mitra account and available balance restored at the earliest.
