i had made a booking from oyo total Holiday with booking id PKG-OZAF****.
i was shown two hotels in the proposed itinerary. i asked Mr. danish (from oyo) that i wanted to exactly the same hotels and He told me that if i make the payment on the very same day, the two hotels would be confirmed. i paid the entire booking amount of rs. ***** out of good faith. One of the hotels was Le Grand Udaipur. After a month of booking, Mr. danish called me up and told me that he has not been able to get us a room at Le Grand. When i told him that you had given me a written confirmation that if i make the payment the same day, the hotels i requested a booking on would be provided. He said he cannot do anything about it. i told him that it was a clear breach of trust. He then booked another hotel in Udaipur named devansh. Based on the initial reviews provided on oyo about this hotel, he made a booking in devansh. Later when we read about the hotel on other review sites like tripadvisor, the hotel turned out be of a much lower quality than Le Grand (the one we had initially requested for). When i requested him another hotel, he could not do that for us satisfactorily. As per oyo policy provided to us on email, in case a trip is cancelled more than ** days before the date of travel, the customer is entitled for a ** % refund. Even though oyo rooms went back on their commitment and it was not at all our fault to trust them with the hotel bookings and we should have recieved a *** % refund, we still thought of not getting into arguments with oyo and sent an email for cancellation of trip on Sun, ** Oct **** and our date of travel was Mon Nov **. the date difference is of about ** days. We have sent multiple reminder emails to them and have not recieved a response to the email and nor have recieved the refund of **% which equals to rs. *****. ideally we should have been provided a full refund of rs. ***** since oyo representative Mr.danish went back on his own words. the amount of rs.***** still lies pending with oyo and has not been refund back to us. the oyo representative has stopped responding to our email and there is no update on the refund.
