SpiceJet offender officers involved in this: M MAHESH KUMAR (Emp Code: ******) & JOGESH KUMAR SHARMA (Emp Code: ******). Their ID cards are attached.
Complain number: ***** (registered at Bengaluru airport spicejet complaint book against Mr Mahesh Kumar’s behaviour. Later Mr Jogesh himself added his name in that complain page threating me see who can do what against him.
Description: I booked my flight from Bengaluru to Delhi and reported at Airport well before time at **:** PM. The kiosk was not letting me see checkin details or print the boarding passes, so requested for assistance from SpiceJet kiosk attendant but got to know that its not working, and checkin counter will help me out. I was the first one at counter queue with my family & young daughter, and as soon as counter opened, I handed over my bags, ID proofs, and after checkin formalities, requested for boarding passes. I was travelling for a business purpose & as we know, businesses accept only physically printed & stamped boarding passes for any reimbursement purpose.
SpiceJet staff was issuing boarding passes & baggage tags to every other customer but denied to issue boarding pass to me. I was at the counter from **:** until **:**. They kept making some totally meaningless excuses, and at the end totally denied issuing boarding passes. I requested every possible SpiceJet staff (including supervisor, and his manager) but they not only denied, but also abused me in front of all the public.
I was humbly requesting them that printed boarding pass is a mandate for me. If somehow, due to any technical reason, everyone’s boarding pass is getting printed but mine is not printing, its alright, but in that case, since I wont get reimbursement later, which eventually mean I’ll have to pay for the flight, I’m not in a position to travel. If airline can’t issue boarding pass, at least give me refund or let me go out of airport or suggest me some other way or allow me to talk to someone for better clarity, but instead of helping me with that, they got aggressive verbally & provoked other passengers to manhandle me & push me physically away from checkin counter. Few customers took this embarrassing video, and god knows if I’m going viral on social media this time.
I was just requesting me that either issue the boarding pass – just like you’re issuing boarding passes for every other customer, or if its not possible due to whatever reasons, allow me to leave the airport since I can’t financially afford to travel without printed boarding passes. Later when I asked security if I can go out, they didn’t let me – saying once you enter the airport, you can’t go out, and only airline staff can help with that. Later SpiceJet team called me over the phone as well several times saying they’re doing something to arrange the boarding passes, and I should keep moving forward with security gates & other boarding formalities. Even after getting manhandled, I somehow had no other choice but to keep moving. At the end, they again denied issuing boarding passes over the phone – while I already crossed the security gate & had no choice but to travel forward. Just before getting into the aircraft, I again asked for the status, & your staff said I'll get the boarding passes before they fly & I can get into craft.
In this whole duration i.e. from**-Sept-**** **:** PM to **:** PM, I was continuously on-call with SpiceJet customer support (+**-***-*******). I called them about * times, and calls went upto a duration of an hour or longer, but they literally did nothing to solve this situation. They however confirmed that since SpiceJet trapped me in this situation, SpiceJet will issue a complete refund against PNR ZHJTSN without any deductions within the next ** hours. All communication was on recorded lines & multiple security cameras. There were at least a hundred SpiceJet passengers as well who witnessed this situation whatever your staff has done to me. Some of the passengers also pushed me physically - because your officers Mr Mahesh & Mr Jogesh were continuously provoking other passengers to do that with me.
I also entered the situation details in SpiceJet complaint register available at Bengaluru airport (complaint ID *****) and got offender staff member’s signature on it. (Attached)
