Dear Concern
I booked a ticket for my son, Aryan Singla, through MakeMyTrip on September **, ****, for a flight on October *, **** having PNR No. - *J*ZHW. Prior to booking, I contacted MakeMyTrip to express my concern about my son's pending visa and requested a ticket that could be canceled if he couldn't travel on the specified date. A MakeMyTrip representative recommended a VietJet Flight, assuring me that I could receive a refund in the same payment method with a deduction of Rs. ****.
On October *, ****, when I attempted to cancel the ticket, I was informed by MakeMyTrip that VietJet did not have a refund policy as previously stated. Instead, they offered credit shells, which could be used within one year by paying the difference between the old and new ticket amounts.
Having called MakeMyTrip on January *, ****, to utilize the credit shells for booking a ticket on February **, ****, I was surprised to learn that they were now imposing a penalty of Rs. **,*** in addition to the difference amount, totaling approximately Rs. **,***. This contradicts the earlier assurances provided by their representative, and I am seeking clarification and resolution regarding this discrepancy. I just want to book a ticket for my son as soon as possible as the fares are increasing day by day . Please help me with resolving the issue. I will be so grateful to you.
