Mohit Abrol filed complaint against Oyo on Jun 2, 2019
I would like to share one incident happened with me regarding Oyo Hotels. I am sharing this incident so that others should be aware of these problems before booking a hotel with OYO.
Problem *
OYO Property - Oyo Flagship ***** (Khasra no *** Sec - **, Sadarpur Near Bal Vikas public school, Noida)
Booking ID - GKYZ****
Check-in Date - **-June-****
Checkout Date - **-June-****
I and my wife went to the hotel at **.** am and the person sitting at reception (Sanjeev, not sure about the name) asked ID proof for both. We have only * proof. He refused to check in due to the OYO Policy. I said that is fine if it is OYO policy then fair enough. I went away and told that I will be back in some hours.
After completing my work I was back at the hotel at *.** pm, I have given both the ID cards, then he asked booking ID, provided.
There comes one more question did you paid online I said yes. Next question how much you have paid. I said can't you see the details in your system. After that he has thrown both the ID cards and said, I will not allow you to check in. Then I started making a video of that guy he is not responding in the video and changes his statement and says that rooms are not clean I cannot provide rooms. Please note that I have reached the hotel at *.** pm. How can he say that room is not cleaned.
Please refer to the video.

This is a very unprofessional behaviour. Totally surprised with this type of attitude. I have informed the customer care they have shifted my hotel to the below one.
Problem *
OYO Property - Oyo Flagship *** (SD-***, Sector **, Noida)
Booking ID - GKYZ**** (Same as above, as the hotel, has been changed due to unprofessional behaviour of OYO staff.)
Check-in Date - **-June-****
Checkout Date - **-June-****
Now in this hotel, they have given room number *** its summer time and outside temperature is around ** degrees. AC was not cooling the room. I have informed at the reception, he changed my room to ***. After another hour I have called him as this AC is also having the same problem.
I was shocked to hear the response. He said "Sir, * tonne ka ac hai, purana bhi ho gya hai, aur kitna chalega. Agar aapko jada dikkat hai to hotel change kar lo". In English <Sir, this is *-tonne ac the old one, it will not cool more than that. If you have any problem you can change the hotel.>
What would you say about this behaviour?
Un-Profession.
I called customer care again, ha ha ha, can you imagine, again same solution, "Sir, shall we change your hotel ?". I am staying for * night and I would have to change * hotels just because your hotel staff is not professional and hotel AC's are not working.
After all this nuisance, I have booked a hotel with MakeMyTrip and got relaxed. Now I am very much dissatisfied with the OYO Hotels.
I will never recommend anyone to book hotels with OYO. Hopefully, This was my last hotel booked with OYO.
I am very pleased with Voxya. They helped me resolve my issue without much hassle. Very impressed and satisfied.

My two years of blood & sweat got valued finally with Voxya. I got a full refund with no hustle after they received notice.

I have booked an Oyo room today and made online UPI payment . The transaction was successful, money was deducted from my account but in the Oyo app it still shows payment pending.
I was denied check in at an oyo hotel after having a confirmed booking, I was told to pay extra to get a hotel room directly without a booking.
