IRCTC - Non Refund of Train Ticket Amount

I had booked a train ticket for the journey dated **.**.**** from Nagapattinam to Erode to the concern Train No *****/Ernakulam Express.The related PNR is ********** whose txnid was ***************.The schedule departure of train was **.**pm and to my fate the ticket was not confirmed and so i was expecting for refund of the ticket amount.In this regard when i had lodged my grievance with IRCTC they replied that the ticket was confirmed. But the fact was the ticket was not confirmed and that to i had checked the PNR status until the last moment of train departure which showed the same status of the time of booking and hence was not confirmed.Due to nonconfirmation of the ticket faced lot of struggles to reach the place of destiny along with my family.Please help to resolve the issue which i would be obliged.
