I booked msrtc bus two tickets from Redbus for travelling from Swargate(pune) to Thane
Travel date **/**/****, pickup from chandni chowk at *.** pm.
Unfortunately bus never showed up, I tried contacting Redbus they provided me msrtc contact number to check the details, but msrtc didnt picked the call and later even Redbus didnt picked. I had to wait in rain with my wife for * hours and had to book private cab to go to Thane which cost me Rs.****.
the next day I gain contacted Redbus and emailed them, but the ans was not satisfying and they were more interested in closing the complain ASAP.
On **th Aug I again followed up to Redbus regarding refund, and I got a email and sms confirming that my bus was cancelled on date of my journey * hours prior. and this was informed to me after THREE DAYS!!. later they provided me a solution(just to close the complain again)
they asked me to visit nearest msrtcdepot with ticket print out and photo id and said they will provide me a refund. Redbus team also provided me a phone number of their associate which they claimed handles the contracts with msrtc and who will help me if I face any problem. and as mentioned earlier within seconds of this solution on email without knowing what will happen they closed the complaint.
This is what happened when I reached thane msrtc depot, they asked me to bring a receipt from Swargate (Pune) bus depot regarding confirmation of cancellation of bus. They didn't recognise the cancellation email from Redbus. The phone number of the associate which Redbus provided me was switched off.
I again tried contacting redbus but they are not responding.
Isn't it Redbus' responsibility to provide me the refund as they had took my money to book the ticket?
Wasn't it Redbus' responsibilty to provide me bus cancellation sms and email on the date of travel itself?
due to their this negligence I had to stand in rain with my wife for three hours on high way and had to book a private cab to reach my home safely which cost me Rs.****
