Fareedunnisa Begum filed complaint against Air India on May 14, 2019
My baggage was held back in Indira Gandhi International Airport (New Delhi) on *th of May ****. When I was travelling from Chicago-Hyderabad the person at check-in counter just asked me if I have liquids and I mentioned about shampoo and body wash. He didn't mention anything regarding power bank. He didn't tell me that I am not supposed to keep power bank in check-in baggage and the Chicago-del flight was delayed so I was in a hurry to get to my connecting flight Delhi-Hyderabad. I was held at the boarding gate right before the take off and the guy told me about the check-in baggage issue and made me sign a paper (authority letter) and told me I'd receive my baggage via the next flight and did not mention anything about how I'd have to file a complaint at Hyderabad airport first. When I called the airport the next day they told me I'd have to file a complaint ( which I did through phone but they just took my info and didn't file a complaint. Again today I tried contacting the air India lost and found service in Rajiv Gandhi International Airport but they seem to not take my situation seriously. They just usually pick up the call and tell me how my baggage is held back at Delhi or they just avoid my calls. Today I called again and they asked me to provide the information again which I did but they want me to sign the authority letter again and turn in the same paperwork I did back in Delhi. They gave me a complaint which is not legit. I know it because I called Air India Customer service today and they couldn't retrieve anything using that information which was provided by Air India lost and found services in Hyderabad Airport. I have my clothes and other necessities in that baggage. I really need it. The delay in baggage has caused me great inconvenience and the ground-staff at both airports have made it worse. Please, can I have my baggage delivered to me already.
