- Mismatch with LastName Surname in the ticket issued by Yatra and the airline ^{Offered Resolution}

I had booked a ticket from Bangalore to Toronto on **th April **** for **st July as my Travel Date with Yatra and selected Ethiopian Airlines.
Yatra's portal was insisting on the Last name field not be blank when booking the ticket.
I do not have any surname on my passport and used a part of my name on the last name field.
The booking was successfully completed and ticket issued with correct name on Yatra issued ticket. But when i happened to check the same on the airline portal i could find that my name was jumbled up.
I immediately raised a concern within * hours of booking my ticket to both the airline and Yatra regarding the mismatch in my name. I was initially assured that this is acceptable but after * days both the airline and Yatra suddenly told me that this change is unacceptable.

I have placed numerous requests with both the airline and Yatra but have got no resolution in return. None have taken responsibility of making an amendment and after * weeks of continuous followup they are asking me to cancel my non refundable ticket.

This attitude of both the travel operator and airline are against the Civil aviation regulations
"I have contacted both the airline and Yatra within ** hrs of booking my ticket for name correction and denying me this right will be a violation of Civil regulations in India i.e. Page * Passenger charter Ministry of Civil Aviation Govt of India OR Section *.l "Airline shall not levy any additional charge for correction in name of the same person when the error is pointed out by the passenger within ** hours of making the booking." CIVIL AVIATION REQUIREMENTS SECTION *, AIR TRANSPORT SERIES M PART II ISSUE I DATED ** May **** .

i have contacted both the airline and Yatra and both blame the other for this fiasco.
Yatra tells that the airline has denied this correction whereas the airline tells that it's in Yatra's control to make this change.

I cannot be a party or victim due to incompetence over the airline or Yatra's end.

I request yatra to offer a suitable resolution to me
