I availed the packer/mover service from 'NoBroker' in May **** and along with it purchased an insurance cover to cover potential damages.
During the packing/moving process, there were multiple damages to goods due to mishandling and poor service. I, therefor, immediately reached out to Nobroker to file the insurance claim. Note that the insurance policy was sold to me by NoBroker agents and is part of a group insurance cover that NoBroker has taken to cover its customers. It is not a policy that I independently bought directly from the insurer. Nobroker plays an important part in selling these insurance policies under the group cover and also plays a key role in the claim processing, settlement and approval process.
Nobroker executives/agents informed me that I should carry out the repair of the damages and then file a claim within sixty days. I called multiple times and spoke to various agents (including Nadeem, Syed, Waseem) to make sure this information was true. Every executive assured me that we had ** days to file the claim and that the claim should be filed after carrying out repairs. One of the reasons I was told that the claim should be filed after repairs is because filing of the claim will require an invoice number which will become available only after repairs/replacement is done.
When I filed the claim about ** days after carrying out the repairs, the claim was rejected and I was told that the claim should have been made within twenty-four hours of the damage. I had, on my part, immediately notified of the damage to NoBroker but due to wrong communication and customer apathy on part of NoBroker, the claim was not accepted.
Nobroker was negligent both on account of the extremely poor packer and mover service and in taking proper note of the insurance claim which I made with NoBroker well within ** hours of the completion of service. To add insult to injury, NoBroker has failed to favourably address my concerns and compensate for the damage even after my following up with them over the email and telephone for more than a month.
