I was trying to book a tatkal ticket. Did netbacking payment, entered the OTP, after sometime IRCTC website displayed, failed transaction. I checked the Booked ticket history, it didn't have any tickets booked. Since the ticket was not booked, i tried booking again. *nd time also the transaction failed message git displayed and again there were not tickets in the Booked ticket history. But this time I got the message for both the transaction from the bank. Since I had already paid approx **k INR, I didn't want to do the same mistake. I left it and when I checked the Booked Ticket History, I saw there were two tickets booked.
Since there was a glitch in the IRCTC system I booked two tickets (Which should not be allowed as per my knowledge, if one ticket is already booked from my account. But here in this case I could book two tatkal tickets from my account.) Now I wanted to cancel the ticket and get the refund back. But IRCTC officials are saying refund will not be granted for confirmed tatkal ticket. I am also aware of this rule. But since first transaction was failed and I had to do another transaction and book the ticket. I would not go and purposefully two tickets for the same passenger, in the same train and the same date. I am not a fool.
I would need your help in getting my refund back
